Thomas B. (Tom) Phillips, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Philco Construction, Inc., has built his career the same way he constructs a building---from a solid foundation up. Tom began his career as a welder, then shifted into project managing and job estimating. From this foundation, Tom has achieved a reputation as a hands-on manager intricately involved in every step of a building project---from the initial bidding to the laying of the last brick. At Philco, he is responsible for overall management, client relationships, and general administration.

Since founding Philco in 1990, Tom has guided Philco from a two-man operation to an established and respected construction company.  In construction circles, Tom is known for his ceaseless emphasis on product excellence, quality control, and building and reinforcing long-term relationships. A goal that everyone associated with Philco's management team and field staff strives to maintain every day.

His associates and clients know first-hand the importance that Tom places on building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients. Tom never underestimates building enduring relationships by delivering the quality work that a customer is entitled to, on schedule and on budget. Tom strives to produce work to be so superior that clients insist Philco bid on every project they pursue.

Philco's growth can be attributed directly to Tom skills in long-range business planning and implementing corporate sales goals and schedules. Now licensed as a contractor in all the Southern states, Tom has extensive experience in design-build and development, high-end finishes and special projects. Tom has excelled in dealing with impossible schedules and complicated projects.

Despite his hectic work schedule, Tom finds time to work on community projects such as the City of Life - assisting foster children. Tom is a state Board Member of the Association of Builders and Contractors is politically active in local, state and national politics. He is an active member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida which supports environmental preservation.

When he's not on the job, or working in the community, Tom is an active sailor and fisherman, dedicated to conserving and protecting Florida's marine resources.
